The
power consumption and the defrosting of ice cream freezers:
The
product tag of an ice cream freezer will show its rated power consumption on it.
A rated power consumption for a freezer means that the power consumption
during 24 hours’ stable operation with the working temperature of 25 degrees
Celsius. In fact the actual power consumption of an ice cream freezer is always
a little higher than the rated power consumption in actual using process-- for
the sake of the usage and maintenance
problems. why is that so ? The main reason is that we didn’t provide the
freezer with a regular defrost, which resulted in a poor refrigeration effect.
【What effect does frost do to an ice cream freezer 】
1, Increased
the power consumption. Frost layer can weaken the cooling performance, freezers
frost will affect the efficiency of heat exchange, after reducing refrigeration
capacity, make the freezer compressor work continuously, thereby increasing
power consumption.
2, Do damage
to the compressor. After getting frosted inside the freezer, the temperature gets
higher than usual, the unstop working of the compressor will easily result in
the damage to the compressor.
3, Producing
peculiar smell. The freezer emits odor without defrost for a long period of
time, which will make a bad affect to the food safety.
" How
to deal with it ?"
Take manual defrost when the frost in the freezer laminated to 5 mm in thickness.
1, Use a small plastic shovels to remove the
frost layer gently and after that wipe the left frost with wet towel.
2, When
the thickness of the ice gets more than 20 m, pour hot water cautiously from the
edges of the inner freezer instead of using
a shovel (Before that ,you had better removed all the display items in it.)
